Australian Damper

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups self-raising flour

1/2 cup Maxigenes Full cream instant milk powder

1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cups water

Method

Place dry ingredients into a bowl and pour water in gradually, stirring as you go.

Once the mixture is combined, place on a well-floured surface and knead the dough lightly.

Shape the dough into a flattened ball and allow to stand for about 5-10 minutes.

Grease a baking tray, then cover with flour and place your damper in the oven.

Allow to cook for about half an hour, then serve with butter.
