Ingredients
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
3/4 cup Maxigenes Goat milk, premade
2 cups self-raising flour
30g butter, at room temperature
6 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup shaved ham, cut into thin strips
1/4 cup tomato paste
Method
Preheat oven to 200°C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Rub the butter into flour with your fingertips, until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Pour in milk and mix until a soft, sticky dough is formed. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to 30cm x 40cm.
Spread tomato paste over dough, then sprinkle with ham and cheese.
Starting from a long side, firmly roll up the dough into a sausage shape and pinch closed at the ends. Use a chef’s knife to slice into 12 rolls.
Place them onto the prepared trays and bake for 30 minutes or until risen and golden on top.
Leave to cool for a few minutes then serve.
