Superhero Foods for Kids
What are superhero foods?
They are foods that help us stay healthy, provide us nutritional support to help our bodies grow and develop and importantly, they make our bodies happy inside.
So what foods are they? They are vegetables, fruits, lean meats, healthy grains and dairy. The ‘villains’ may be considered as anything processed, high sugar, high salt and fast food.
By getting creative in the kitchen together you can create new recipes and produce meals that provide super tasty and super charged nutrients for our extraordinary bodies, to help us function healthily and correctly.
Here are some foods you can talk to your children about with their special ‘powers’ and why they are great for us are:

Keeping kids’ meals and snacks colourful and providing a range of the 5 food groups will help instill healthy behaviours. This will also help keep the whole family feeling good and nutritious all together. Making it fun and creative and getting kids imaginations going with superhero characters to match the foods they eat may help encourage taste buds and a sense of adventure.
